Fashion resolutions,

Considering its a new season {Almost...} I thought it would be a good idea for me to conjure up some fashion resolutions for my spring wardrobe. Hopefully I'll follow these through more then my no chocolate all exercise resolutions each new year.

1) I promise to add some more colour and life into my granny chic wardrobe. This one shouldn't be hard, my wardrobe needs a HUGE makeover, seriously.

2) I'm going to be more bold with mixing clashing colours and prints. All my clothes are just, bare.

3) Messy floral prints look as if there ready for summer to me, I'm going to purchase some more summery floral pieces.

4) Step away from the ordinary-I'm going for bold outfits this season, fresh and funky. Filled with clashing colours. I'll try to move away from my ordinary, simple make-up and try some daring colours.

5) Spend more time actually trying to find good things in charity shops. I always go in them and come out with nothing! I see so many wonderful charity shop finds on here but I can never find anything. I promise to really rummage through everything there and not leave with just one breath of the off-putting smell and flee to topshop.

I'm going to leave you with a little collage of some highstreet items I'll be looking to get when I have the cash.

So do you have any changes your going to make to your wardrobe this season?

LFW a/w 11'

London Fashion week has come to an end..
One of the favourite times of year for us fashion folk how could this be a fashion blog without a review over the collections for the autumn/winter LFW?
Lets have a little lookie at my personal highlights.

                                                                       KTZ

Loving this line by KTZ, the crazy designers , Koji Maruyama, Sasko Bezovski and Marjan Pejoski, known for their 'out there' collections.
The simple colours paired with crazy headwear or accessories. Always stripy, too.

Mary Katrantzou

Love the sort of Chinese feel running throughout the clothes. All pieces are tickled with authentic pattens and shaped just wonderfully, a true breath of fresh air.

Erdem

I love the messy prints on these skirts and trousers. Teamed with fully buttoned up shirts and plain jumpers just makes the look effortlessly cool. I'd like to see some of the designs and pattens incorporated into some highstreet clothes, I think they could really set off.

Paul Smith

I love this very office chic style, roughed around the ages a little bit. I adore the hands in pocket strut going on and of course, the glasses. The odd splash of bright colour in the last two pictures is just amazing, I love the slouchy wrinkles formed in the last pics jumper.

Saloni

How perfect!
I love the simplicity within this look but it still is somehow incredibly eye catching. Simple colours, pattens, could even be called plain but there's something within that just makes it crazy good! Who knows what it is though....
Thumbs up again to Saloni.

23 February 2011

New season, new styles, new blog!

Hello, I'm Ruby, I'm 13, obsessed with fashion, photography and vintage items! Anyways, welcome to my blog, I do hope you will continue to read it into the future. I'd appreciate it if you helped, by following me and suggesting this blog to friends.
This blog, Shouted Silence, is essentially a fashion blog, I'll be discussing trends, events and such. Also, though, it will be about major events for me and sometimes just rambling nonsense!
As a budding fashion magazine journalist 'wannabe' the clever thing to do seems to set up a blog about fashion. Personally my style is very vintage, charity shop orientated. Although, I shall be talking about other styles too.
I'm very creative, all my hobbies are essentially creative ones; Art, photography, fashion, playing the guitar, fashion designing. With one exception, horse riding! Its quite out of place within my other hobbies but I do adore it.
Anyway, to follow are some photos that I really love and inspire me. {None of these photos belong to me and are of (stunning) models. Later I'll be posting pictures that are mine.}
I just love old Vouges, much more then the recent editions. The style on this cover is so nice! I love the nautical look which is felt within this summery look.
The lace design here is so intricate and perfect. The huge bow just sets it off too.

This isn't so much a fashion picture but I had to put it up, she is so, so stunning! Her eyes, wow.

Just wonderfully striking. Her cat-like eyes contrasted with the sweet headscarf and grapes just sets it off spectacularly.

This is gorgeous. Her very strong blush and that fantastic hat. It's so summery and warming.

The utter oposite of the picture above, this is very cold. Still strikingly beautiful model and photo.

This has to be one of my favourites. I love the all-white look. She is utterly beautiful and  the flowers are just fab, I need to get my hands on something like that for the summer!

This is just a lovely photo. So simple and then the kick from the pink socks is fantastic.
